Panthers Prove Their Bite is Stronger Than Their Bark

The Panthers of Northern Bedford rebounded in a big way on the night of Friday, September 19th getting a 26-0 win over the Bulldogs of Claysburg at Panther Community Stadium.

The Panthers exhibited great discipline and moxie while running around, and over, the Bulldogs.

With Panther’s star running back Austin Heck only getting 6 carries in the game due to an ankle injury, backup Ridge Hershberger and All-State receiver Jacob Dasher picked up with teams slack effectively – With Dasher catching 3 balls for 38 yards, running the ball 3 times for 23 yards, and completing 1 pass for 21 more. Hershberger did a lot of the scoring for the Black Panthers, scoring 2 of the team’s 4 touchdowns… one receiving and one rushing.

The Bulldogs couldn’t seem to get much of anything going offensively, only accumulating 79 yards on offense – being shut out and down.

The Panther offense is once again proved to be high powered and relatively unstoppable.

The Panthers take on the Rockets of Southern Huntingdon on Friday, September 26th.
