On October 26, 2013, the Northern Bedford Marching Band finished off the season with a big bang at the Everett Area School District first ever band festival.  Starting at seven P.M., the band festival consisted of the schools of Bedford Marching Band, Everett Marching Band, Tussey Mountain Marching Band, and last but not least, Northern Bedford Marching Band; unfortunately, Chestnut Ridge Marching Band didn’t show up. Northern Bedford rebounded from a tough loss last week with a 49-36 victory over the Williamsburg Blue Pirates on Friday night at Panther Community Stadium. Five seniors, Jonas Bequeath, Blake Over, Kyler Diehl, Zane Snyder, and Toby Quarry, were honored as part of Senior Night. Blake Over continued his stellar senior season with 313 yards passing on 19 of 27 attempts. He also added 3 touchdowns on the ground. The Northern Bedford Volleyball team started off their final week with an away game, on Monday, October 21st. The girls’ traveled to HOPE for Hyndman Charter School to play the Lady Hornets. A total of four matches were played with HOPE for Hyndman winning three and Northern Bedford winning one. The final scores were 25-17, 21-25, 25-16, and 25-11. NBC’s girls’ soccer team hosted McConnellsburg on Tuesday, October 22 at home for Senior Night.  The final score was 1-3, with Northern facing a loss.  Before the game, NBC’s senior girls, Lauren Morris and Mikayla Gates got recognition.
